When you start as an accountant at PwC you follow our two-year program The Associate Academy, the accountancy traineeship. You will be intensively supervised by a personal coach and you will gain extensive experience with various activities for various clients. You will get in touch with the full spectrum of accountancy, but you will also go more in depth very quickly. Your introduction at PwC is very team-oriented and you will gain you a lot of experience. You will build a solid network and you will be optimally trained.
What do you do as an Associate?
As an associate your focus is on checking accounts and assessing internal processes and systems of different customers. During interim controls, you schedule interviews with customers, you are mapping processes and translating problems into company-focused solutions. In the end-of-year check you are checking the financial information in the financial statements and you are analyzing parts of these statements. You work in a team for the customer, but you are also together with your fellow associates during trainings and fun activities.
What does The Associate Academy offer you?
You can choose from five Associate Academy locations in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Eindhoven or Zwolle. You have a lot of contact with your coach, your fellow associates from the same year and of course your colleagues in the Business Unit where you are working for. As an Associate you will receive a fulltime salary. You are working four days a week and on Friday you follow lectures for your Master or Post-Master, which is reimbursed by PwC. Furthermore, you get:
